The Center for Research on Interface Structures and Phenomena (CRISP) offers many opportunities in various fields of research at Southern Connecticut State University and Yale University. With an emphasis on STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), there is room for both specialized and interdisciplinary study. Programs such as the REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates), IAF (Industry Academic Fellowship, sponsored by the Werth Family Foundation), RET (Research Experiences for Teachers) and REHS (High School Research Fellowship) provide opportunities for both students and teachers to gain research experience in connection with specific laboratories as well as leaders in local industry. Professors, lab technicians, industry professionals, academic leaders, and mentors provide exceptional instruction into the various techniques, skill sets, and learning algorithms necessary for advancement in skillful research in STEM fields.
