Industry Academic Fellowship Program

The Werth Family Foundation sponsored Industry Academic Fellowship (IAF) program at the ConnSCU-CNT provides undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunity to conduct team-based interdisciplinary research. During the course of this eight-week summer program, IAF students will conduct research in collaboration with educators and industry professionals, while exploring the business-related aspects of technology. Research teams will be working on nanotechnology projects with topics including nano-medicine and nano-environmental studies

Dates – June 5, 2017 – July 31, 2017

Eligibility – This program is open to highly motivated undergraduate science students in all disciplines who have completed their sophomore year. Minorities, women and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Stipend – Each participant will receive a stipend of up to $5,000; $3,000 during the eight weeks in the summer (June & July), and $2,000 during the preceding spring and following fall semesters.

Application – The selection of IAF candidates is based on a personal statement, resume, academic transcript, and one letter of recommendation.
